The course was well-structured, engaging, and provided a diverse range of international challenges and opportunities. I learnt a lot from the interactions with my team where I gained valuable insights discussing region-specific issues. Hearing about how different groups applied the Standard and receiving feedback from the technical experts was particularly enlightening.

The study of the IUCN Global Standard for Nature-based Solutions gave me credible information to share with government, citizens, and the grant-makers and donors who can fund this work.

Understanding how to design scalable nature-based solutions locally to solve multifaceted problems as a global community is key to our sustainable transformation. This course delivers a valuable framework for anyone who seeks to build solutions in harmony with nature, not at its expense.

As a biologist working with partners at the forefront of nature conservation, this course allowed me to better understand opportunities the growing field of nature finance offers to advance action on-the-ground as well as the challenges that still need to be overcome to increase the potential of investments for nature.

The examples evaluated by the speakers and fellow students gave me an overview of how financial instruments can look like in practice.

We applied critical analysis of the case studies and the content had the right balance in volume of information for someone doing this part-time.

After the course I felt extremely motivated in shaping my learning into real life situations, knowing that improving finance solutions for nature protection and regeneration is at a nascent stage of its development.
